Frida Kahlo inspired and continues to inspire women from all over the world to live their lives to the full in spite of all of the challenges that are to be found on their way. Her story inspired me, her story gives me strength and this is a humble homage to wha she was and continues to represent to the women of my generation and not only.
About Corina Stupu Thomas
My life as an artist started as a self healing journey in a small flat in Bucharest, Romania. It has become a beautiful friendship, a friendship with my brushes, my paints, my canvasses, my paper and the oh so many bits and pieces that have found their way into my images. Having grown up under a harsh communist regime, where there were rules for everything, art released in me a strong need to break free, to avoid conforming to anyone else's way of doing things.
